I want to live in a world where...
the term 'you're pretty good for a girl' is treated as a disparaging comment and not some sort of back-handed compliment...where female athletes are recognized for their passion, talent, drive, self-discipline, and HEART instead of solely on their outer beauty. I believe in myself and every woman out there who is not afraid to chase after what feeds their souls. And damnit, we are sexy human beings and we should flaunt it but not allow it to define us and our success. I want to be remembered for ripping river waves and the stories I tell, not how nice my little round ass looked in a wetsuit.
I may curse like a sailor, have an exaggerated fondness of beer, no college degree, and an inability to work a traditional 9-5 without wanting to stab myself in the eye on a daily basis, but it's a life that could fill the pages of a best-selling adventure novel and inspire the every day office worker to pee on his/her bosses desk, flip em' the bird, and pursue something obscure like plate spinning.
My obscure passion is river surfing. Myself and three beautiful ladies made a film all about it called 'Can I Surf That' . This blog isn't just about that, it's about traveling, the highs and lows, love, coffee, seasonal work, and personal growth. Hang out and enjoy the stories.
